We specialise in testing and repairing Engine Control Units, BSI / BCM’s, Airbag ABS and Convenience / Comfort Control modules for all models and makes of vehicles. Testing prices range from R380 to R900, depending on the year, make, model and type of vehicle.
Prior to repairing, we do a bench test to ascertain whether the computer box or module is faulty. Our simulators emulate the car engine, giving us a true reflection of how the computer box is performing.
We are able to test, decode, immo-off and remanufacture all ECU’s including: ABS ECU’s, Airbag ECU’s, Engine ECU’s, Dashboard and Convenience / Comfort Control ECU’s and more. We do not only repair ECU’s but also carry a large number of ECU units in stock, ready to swap. We constantly update our stock lists to hold the more in demand ECU’s and offer our customers a wider range.
We have the latest in technology test rigs setup to extensively test all ECU’s as though they were plugged in to the vehicle. We test all ECU units for up to 24-48 hours so we’re able to verify every fault found and also catch out the intermittent faults and possibly any faults the customer was not even aware of.
Please Note: We give all our customers a full 3 to 6 months warranty.
ECU replacement can be very expensive. The part alone can cost between R20,000 and R45,000, depending on the make and model of your vehicle.
You should expect to pay between R3,500 and R13,500 max. at our Xpress shop and service centre for close to New, Refurbished and Tested ECU’s. Our aim is to lower all costs, especially for those vehicles which are off motor plan. Most insurance companies take advantage of our services in this regard.
In cases of incompatibility on ECU’s, we are able to supply you with other replacement units that totally match your car. Depending on the make and model of your vehicle we will sometimes recommend you to get full locksets that are pre-programmed to plug and play.

Bosch VP44 Diesel Pumps (PSG5)
This Bosch VP44 diesel pump EDC is a very common failure, when this diesel pump fails it will normally cause the engine to not start.
The mechanical side of the pump is usually very reliable, nearly all of the faults we see are caused by the electronic diesel control unit (EDC) attached to the top of the pump.
Please note that we only test the EDC on top of the pump, we cannott test the mechanical part of the pump.
